Nathan Joel Marquardt (born April 20, 1979) is an American MMA fighter. He is a three-time Middleweight King of Pancrase Champion and currently fights in the middleweight division for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Marquardt began his MMA training as a teenager, studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, Wing Chun, and Kenpo under instructor Alistair McNiven.
Marquardt runs the High Altitude Martial Arts Academy located in Aurora, Colorado. He has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Ricardo Murgel and a 2nd Degree black belt in Pancrase Mixed Martial Arts/Jiu-Jitsu.
Shane Bannister Carwin (born January 4, 1975) is an American MMA fighter who competes in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Carwin was previously the UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion. He won his first 12 MMA fights in the first round.
Carwin trains with Jackson's Submission Fighting and Grudge Fight Team. He is based out of Denver, Colorado and trains at the Grudge Training Center with Top MMA coach Trevor Wittman. Carwin is ranked as the #5 heavyweight fighter in the world by Sherdog.
Junior dos Santos (born September 12, 1984) is a Brazilian MMA fighter competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Dos Santos fights in the Heavyweight division, under former UFC and Pride Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva.
Dos Santos is currently ranked as the #7 heavyweight in the world by Sherdog. He studies Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and currently holds a brown belt. Dos Santos trains his Jiu-Jitsu under Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. He is currently ranked the #6 Heavyweight in the world by the Independent World MMA Rankings.
