Shinya Aoki (born May 9, 1983) is a Japanese MMA competitor and grappler. He is a former police trainee who is known for being the World Alliance of Mixed Martial Arts (WAMMA) Lightweight Champion, DREAM Lightweight Champion and former Shooto Middleweight Champion.
Aoki holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu as well as a black belt in judo. He possesses excellent flexibility, often taking opponents by surprise and earning him the nickname "Tobikan Judan," meaning "master of flying submissions." Aoki partially founded the "Nippon Top Team" as a group of elite Japanese grapplers competing in MMA fights.
Jesús Omar de la Cruz (born November 5, 1979) is a Dominican professional MMA fighter. Cruz is best-known for his stint in Bellator Fighting Championships, fighting in the welterweight division.
Omar is a fourth degree black belt in Taekwondo, and has been practicing the Korean martial art for 16 years. He holds a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Abraham Tabar, the only Dominican blackbelt rank in the discipline.
Cruz currently trains at his own gym, Fight Training Academy in Santo Domingo, the only MMA gym in the country.
Vítor Vieira Belfort (born April 1, 1977) is a Brazilian MMA fighter and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.
Belfort was born in Rio de Janeiro and studied Brazilian jiu-jitsu with the Gracie family. He received a black belt under Carlson Gracie. Belfort also studied Shotokan karate and judo. He currently trains out of Xtreme Couture and is now fighting in the middleweight division.
Belfort is considered to be one of the top-ten middleweights in the world according to multiple MMA publications.
