Wanderlei Cesar da Silva (born July 3, 1976) is nicknamed "The Axe Murderer". He is a Brazilian MMA competitor who has fought in Japan's Pride Fighting Championships and the American Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Silva is known for his aggressive fighting style. He began his training under Rudimar Fedrigo at the Chute Boxe Academy in Curitiba, Brazil. Silva has also trained in Muy Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with trainer Cristiano Marcello. He received a black belt under Carlos Gracie, Jr. in 2003.
Silva is the former IVC light heavyweight champion, former Pride middleweight champion, and the Pride 2003 Middleweight Grand Prix champion. Silva owns an MMA gym called The Wand Fight Team Training & Conditioning Center, in Las Vegas.
